More than 30 years ago, Huizhou changed its name to Huangshan. Since then, Huizhou has become the regret and dream of many people. Have you ever been to Huangshan but missed Huizhou?
徽州，简称”徽”，古称歙州，又名新安，为浙江省最早雏形唐末两浙道的组成部分，也是江南省分割后安徽之”徽”的命名来源。今徽州分属安徽省与江西省，并分割为黄山市、绩溪县(宣城市)与婺源县(上饶市)。
Huizhou, referred to as “Hui” in short, was called Shezhou in ancient times, also known as Xin’an. It was a part of the two Zhejiang roads in the late Tang Dynasty, the earliest embryonic form in Zhejiang Province, and also the source of the name of “Hui” in Jiangnan Province after its division. Today, Huizhou belongs to Anhui Province and Jiangxi Province, and is divided into Huangshan City, Jixi County (Xuancheng) and Wuyuan County (Shangrao).
